Questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the Incumbent Worker Training grant?

It's a Florida program, administered by CareerSource Florida, that reimburses employers for part of the cost of training their current full-time employees, so Florida businesses can stay competitive.

How much can my company get back?

Most companies can be reimbursed up to 50% of direct training costs. Companies with 25 or fewer employees, or located in a rural county, distressed area, brownfield or HUBZone, may qualify for up to 75%. The maximum award is set each program year; the most recently published cap is $100,000 per company.

Is this a loan? Do I have to pay it back?

No. It's a reimbursement for approved training costs, not a loan.

Do I pay for the training up front?

Generally yes. The program reimburses eligible costs after the approved training is completed and documented. We help you get the paperwork right so the reimbursement goes smoothly.

Can I start training before I'm approved?

Training needs to be pre-approved to be reimbursed, so it's best to talk to us before you sign up for a course.

Are you part of CareerSource Florida or the State?

No. SandG Grant Help is an independent company that helps businesses prepare and submit their applications. Approval decisions are made by the program, and we can't guarantee an award.

What does your service cost?

Checking eligibility is free. If you'd like us to handle your application, we'll explain our fee clearly before you commit to anything.
